About the Power Adhesives TEC 806 Hot Glue Gun

The TEC 806 hot glue gun from Power Adhesives has replaced the very popular TEC 805 adding a number of performance, safety and design improvements. The TEC 806 is still available in both 1/2″ and 5/8″ stick configurations and offers an excellent price to performance ratio.

Output & Performance of the TEC 806

The Power Adhesives TEC 806 has a very fast 2-3 minute warm up time and can dispense up to 4 lbs of hot melt per hour. A new upgrade is that the TEC 806 will work with 110V-240V electric systems making it a great option for non-US operations of facilities running 240V.

Features We Love

The TEC 806 has a long power cord (10ft), fast heat up time and enough power to handle a wide range of applications like packaging and product assembly. It also comes in two stick sizes that cover the majority of glue stick formulations on the market.

What Could Be Improved

The TEC 805 does not have a temperature adjustment feature. You’ll have to upgrade to the TEC 820 (or equivalent model) to be able to adjust to low temp adhesives or have the ability to play with temperature ranges.

The Bottom Line

The TEC 806 has some great new features and offers one of the best performance to price ratios on the market. We wouldn’t think twice about recommending the TEC 806 for light industrial applications.
